These advanced service planning and control capabilities significantly extend Microsoft Dynamics AX service management applications to provide a range of planning, management and tracking capabilities to add greater control and visibility for the aftermarket service business.

  • Material planning for both spares inventory and specific service events helps to optimize the balance between availability and investment. Service parts can be planned in conjunction with new product manufacturing to ensure complete coverage and maximize the utilization of inventory across the enterprise.
  • Warranty management tracks warranty provisions and dates for both customer asset warranties and supplier parts and services warranties to help maximize both customer service and cost recovery.
  • Life parameter tracking, including time since initial deployment, time since last overhaul and time until next overhaul at multiple asset levels helps drive accurate service planning.
  • Supplier management provides the basis for coordination with suppliers of both spares and sub-contract service tasks.
